Enlarge Your Capacity to Believe

Bishop Clarence Williams • General
It is time to change your mind-set by renewing your ways of thinking.

"Jesus said to him, 'If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.'" (Mark 9:23)

God is looking for people of faith.  He never intended for us to live according to the world's system and way of doing things.  He said that we are to live by faith, and without faith, it is impossible to please Him because those who come to Him must believe that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (See Hebrews 10:38 and 11:6)

It is time to change your mind-set by renewing your ways of thinking. If you can renew your mind and thoughts toward the things of God, you can change your world. Changing your thoughts can change your circumstances because your mind is powerful.  Your mind has the power to bring life or to destroy because everything starts with a thought, and how you think determines how you live. (See Romans 12:2 and Proverbs 23:7)

The imagination of man is like a canvas.  What you think about is painted on the canvas of your imagination, but you will never succeed with an inferior mind-set.  You must decide to become who God says you are.  It does not matter what others think or say about you, it is about seeing yourself the way God sees you. Once you paint a picture in your mind you start to believe those thoughts, speak those thoughts, act on those thoughts, and ultimately change things (whether good or bad, right, or wrong).

"So Jesus answered and said to them, 'Have faith in God.  For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.  Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.'" (Mark 11:22-24)

Do not stay here; get to your promised land. Keep moving forward toward your destiny because others may be depending on you.  God honors people who have faith in Him.  Once you make the commitment to follow Him, do not turn back.  Stretch your faith. Get around people who talk faith and believe God. Living a life of faith does not come overnight, but if you will commit to reading the Word and become a student of the Word, change will come as you begin to apply what you have learned.  Remember, all things are possible to them that believe; to those who have faith.
