Time for a Lifestyle Change

Bishop Clarence Williams • General
According to the Bible in Psalms 55:19, people who never change have no fear of God; but God expects us to change. As a matter of fact, change is inevitable.

As we begin the year 2020, here is something to consider. If something you are doing is not working for you, perhaps what you need is a lifestyle change.  Perhaps you keep getting the same results because you keep doing the same things. If you want something different from what you've been receiving, maybe you should try doing something different than what you've been doing. In other words, if the boat you are in is sinking, instead of just going down with it, why not get out and get onto a lifeboat.  As a matter of fact, the way we live daily is what causes our boats to sink.  Some may sink drastically, and others may have a slow leak, yet, the end result is still the same – destruction, disappointment, failure, sickness, rejection, poverty, weariness; and the list goes on and on.

According to the Bible in Psalms 55:19, people who never change have no fear of God; but God expects us to change.  As a matter of fact, change is inevitable.  So, I would like to encourage you today by letting you know that change is good, and oftentimes needed.  Make the decision now to stop repeating the same mistakes of the past (going around the same mountains). "The Lord our God spoke to us in Herob, saying: 'You have dwelt long enough at this mountain. Turn and take your journey°'" (Deuteronomy 1:6-7) Instead of repeating the same mistakes year after year, step back and learn from them; then make the necessary adjustments so you can receive the needed results.

Change is only a prayer and action away.  God loves you and wants the best for you and your family.  Allow Him to help you make the changes you need.  He is ready when you are, so make that decision today!
