You Shall Surely Recover All!

Bishop Clarence Williams • General
It's a new season and a new day! Something is happening to you right now, and your life will never be the same.

1 Samuel 16:12-13 "…and the Lord said, arise, anoint him, for this is the one!  Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed David in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon him from that day forward…"

It's a new season and a new day!  Something is happening to you right now, and your life will never be the same.  Sometimes you can't help the anointing on your life -- it just stands out.  David was anointed from a young child, and as with him, not everyone will be fond of the call on your life.  David was on the run for his life; running and hiding out in caves, because of the king's jealousy of his anointing and call.  But he had reached a turning point in his life that he would not run anymore.  Have you ever been in a place where you are so full of sorrow, grief and hurt that you've cried your heart out; perhaps from the loss of a loved one?  Have you ever been to a place where you've cried so much until you have no more power to weep?  Well, I know that feeling well.  Perhaps you've had friends who changed on you, and suddenly something is wrong; no one's talking to you, and you feel all alone - by yourself.  Even on the job it looks like no one wants to be around you, and you are feeling ostracized.  David was at that place, but worse; he was greatly distressed and about to lose his life.  Yes, he had an anointing on his life, and a promise from God, and the Spirit of the Lord was upon him, but things weren't looking good for him at the moment, and the people were ready to stone him because of their grief.  I want to take this opportunity to encourage you and tell you that next year will be like no other year if you will do as David did in his distress.  David encouraged himself in the Lord.  (1 Samuel 30:1-8)

If you want to see a change next year, encourage yourself.  It is time for the Body of Christ to encourage ourselves in the Lord our God.  In order to encourage himself in his God, David had to first know his God.  "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" Ps. 27:1 "Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together." Ps. 34:3 "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want." Ps. 23:1   When no one else can encourage you, go to the Encourager.  Go to the one who says that no weapon that forms against you will prosper; greater is the One on the inside of you than he who is in the world; you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.  Are you going through something right now?  Know that your Redeemer lives and shall stand in the latter days (Job 19:25).  Encourage yourself in the Lord.  When you know that you know, no matter how bad it seems, or how tough it may be, the people who know their God will be strong and do exploits (Dan. 11:32).   When you know your God, no matter how difficult things are around you, you know you're coming out.  Once David encouraged himself, he sought the Lord.  Deliverance is not taking place because people are not seeking their God.  Don't just stop with encouragement; seek the Lord.  Satan wants you to accept what things look like, and count up your losses, because he comes to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10).  He wants you to look at all your problems and accept them as the way it is.  Do you really want victory?  "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path." (Prov. 3:5-6) God will show you what to do; but keep in mind that it is not over until you win.  The scoreboard may show 2 seconds left on the clock, and your opponent may seem to have the upper hand; but like David, don't accept failure.  We, the church, must stop accepting things as they are.  David sought the Lord, and asked Him a question, "Shall I pursue?  Shall I overtake?"  You see, we can't just let the devil steal our property.  God has made a covenant with us that we are the head and not the tail, and He has given us power to tread on scorpions and serpents and over all the power of the enemy (Deut. 28:13; Lk. 10:19).   Like David, there is an anointing on us.  God is telling you – Pursue!  Rise up, pursue, worship, and go after your stuff!  Stand to your feet, wash your face, dust yourself off, and put your war clothes on; for you shall surely overtake and recover all.  If we step out, He will be with us.  He has even given us warring angels to fight for us.

Don't allow 2019 to be a normal year.  Don't go through the same things you went through this year. If you need to change, make that change; open your mouth and begin to praise God.  Magnify Him now, because it's just a matter of time before you see your breakthrough.  Go and get your wife; go and get your husband; go and get your children, your money, health, and miracle.  Get up, stop complaining, and pursue!  God didn't stop pursuing us when we fell prey to the enemy.  As a matter of fact, Jesus said prepare me a body and I will go and redeem man.  David had an anointing as we do - to pursue; and he recovered all, both small and great.  The time is Now!  Pursue, and You shall surely overtake and recover all!
