Reconnect

Bishop Clarence Williams • General
We must value this time and the days that we are in and stay connected to God.

"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord.  "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."  Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT)

God has put us in a time of selah to pause and think about things in this year of 2020.  I want you to be encouraged; God is protecting and taking care of His people. This is a time that God is reconnecting us.  He is reconnecting us to our families, He is reconnecting us to our church, He is reconnecting us to our friends.  He is connecting us to new people as well, but most of all in this year, God is reconnecting His children with Him.

God is changing all of us.  He is changing us and bringing us into a place of reconnection.  This is a time to reconnect in our marriages with our spouses, and with our children.  The average child goes to school five days a week for more than eight hours a day, and by the time they get home, or mom and dad come home from work, they have little time to spend with them. But during this season, families are reconnecting, and things are working together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose. (see Romans 8:28)

We must value this time and the days that we are in and stay connected to God.  This is key because of what we are going to be facing in the future and the challenges of our world; and the challenges of being a child of God in the world.  Being connected is so important.  We need to be connected to God, to our spouses, our families, and our church members.

I also want to encourage you to smile more.  About two weeks ago, I heard the Spirit of the Lord say, "Just have a good attitude."  Having a good attitude is a choice, so choose to have a good one.  Having a good attitude is important because our behavior affects others.  I challenge you in this season to always have a good attitude about things that are happening around you; a positive attitude, knowing your God.

You are not in the norm anymore, but do not look at this season and time as boring.  God is moving on your behalf. We are facing many things, but I have seen God's hand upon His people, His children.  Luke 12:32 reads, "Do not fear… for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the Kingdom."  God takes pleasure in the prosperity of His people, and as we move closer and closer to Him, He reveals more to us.  He is showing Himself mighty and showing Himself powerful in this season, so do not murmur and do not complain.  God already has a plan for you.  Take this time and season to reconnect to Him and others.  Take a moment and do it today, starting now.

Daily declaration:

"TODAY IS A GOOD DAY. I EXPECT SOMETHING GOOD TO HAPPEN FOR ME AND MY FAMILY, MY FRIENDS, MY CHURCH. I DECREE AND DECLARE GOOD THINGS ARE HAPPENING FOR ME RIGHT NOW, IN JESUS' NAME."
