Mastering your storms is a skill every child of God must become proficient in to overcome all possible obstacles to obtaining victory in every area of life. No, it doesn’t always come easy, but it is possible. The key is understanding the power you possess as born-again believers in creating the outcome you desire by standing on the promises of God found in His holy Word. He has promised to never leave or forsake you, therefore, you are never in battle alone. God fights for you, in you, and through you when you allow Him to. But when you try to handle things your way, or the world’s way, you become more entrapped with that thing you are trying so desperately to overcome. Why is that? Is it pride? Is it selfishness?
Do you realize that you can change the outcome of your situations by simply changing your mindset? Instead of allowing storms to break you, learn to master them by allowing them to push you closer to God. As an alternative to caving in under the pressure of your circumstances, strengthen your spirit man by running to the Word of God and finding out what God says about your situation. Learn to operate the Kingdom way, by praying and declaring the Word of Almighty God, then expect God to intervene on your behalf.
